I do not have a box but when the bank states there are only two keys I question it. I suspect a master key as well may exist.
It used to be that on personal individual deposits over 10k the government recieved a notice of. Now it can be on random lesser amounts. Whose descretion the dollar amount may be interests me if true.
In Canada there are only seven major bank chains and they are pretty much in bed with the government.

that is because they believe your business is their business. privacy is pretty much history. think of the government as your business partner, sort of a joint venture or a do-it-together kit. only one problem, your business partner wants a lot more out of you than his fair share. If he can't get his hands on your money, your blood supply will do.
