I have tried push starting before and it almost always ends with a damaged car.

I suspect he may have said his dad would not allow it because he did not want to do it. I attribute it to fear of the unknown and perhaps an inflated view of my thoughts about my old benz.

But the car is all back together now and ready to roll.
