Sounds like a pretty upstanding kid to respect his fathers wishes when pressured though, but not particularly inventive. There is ALWAYS a way to sorta respect the fathers wishes, AND please the girlfriend.

Well, if the vehicle gets damaged in any way, it will cause problems and be hard to explain. So, that is a consideration.

Depends on how much I trust you to do it right? I have had the wife practice hitting the brakes and slowly hit the gas pedal to spool up the turbo so I can check for leaks. Would I trust any "Tom, Dick or Harry" to do it? Not a chance.
