Maybe off topic, but I was unaware of the angle sensor on the ML. I had heard that the bas/esp malfunction could be corrected by turning the steering wheel from lock to lock. This did nothing on my CLK which had a brake booster switch causing the bas/esp error to light up intermittently....replaced that and the problem has not reappeared.
