There is a silver credit card looking thing with the code on it (probably lost with the book I know, but just so you know what to look for). Call the dealer with the VIN and they will tell you the code. Also, maybe 1-800-FOR-MERCedes will tell you. They are AMAZINGLY knowledgeable.
