you do not need anything on the car as long as you have in your possession the "signed"by both parties and dated title,and a bill of sale wouldn't hurt either.but carry along your insurance card from your highest insured vehicle as proof of insurance.most companies will ins a new to you car for 30 days without you actually registering it.or you could insure it by vin number and then you would have a card that matches the vehicle even though you technically don't yet own it.
