This is for people who notice the control unit lights flickering when you mess with the vent selection knob and or have the AC OFF light staying on. The short in the control unit has been ignored for a long time but finally left a code and left the AC off light on for good. This short in the unit was causing the auto AC to go on and off constantly when you touch the unit in a few different locations. The codes left on the control unit were relating to the evap temp sensor.
take out ash try
remove unit
take apart unit
this was the contact that was shorting out, it was very dusty so it was all cleaned out and i played with the auto knob spring to make sure it would be at the correct length for proper function.
I noticed a very small burnt out bulb, its to small to get any part numbers off of, any one know the type of bulb this is for replacement?
