Junior prom I took my ex (asked her when we were dating), she ended up meeting a friend of mine whom she dated and he treated her like crap. We and her remained friends though.

Senior prom I went with a girl I had a crush on for a while...ended up dating her afterwards for a few months but college got in the way. We're still friends today.

Overall I was pretty lucky I guess, both girls were really good looking and nice people.
