and that means STUCK. I've now been trying for an hour pushing levers and pulling it, trying to wiggle the latching part with a screwdriver, even kicking it from the back, nothing will get it flat. is there any way to unlatch that thing somehow???? if I have to break it it's ok. I've never used the back seat of any car anyways and I don't want children as I'm enjoying life without them too much.
