Welcome to the forum.

If I were you I'd send a PM to a forum moderator to get your thread moved to the diesel section.

How many miles has the sprinter done?

What sort of use does it get? Are you doing a lot of short journeys / stop start deliveries?

Do you always use the same fuel station?

Do you happen to know whether you've got a diesel particulate filter (DPF) fitted to your vehicle?

Your second problem sounds to me like it is going through an engine management cleaning routine - I could be wrong as I'm more familiar with the old stuff but it sounds like that to me.

As for the first problem I'd look at battery health / starter motor health. Have they measured the cranking speed of the engine?
