The car is old enough to be all clogged up.

I've got a 190E. Last summer I pulled it all apart to replace the heater core. While in there, I found the evaporator clogged with ground up leaves and glop from rain. Cleaned it all up, and it blew harder.

THEN, pulled the heater fan motor under the hood, and found the whole interior of the box was loaded with ground up leaves. Pulled the blower shroud, and found a water drain under the heater box that was solid goo from leaves, and water, etc. Cleaned it all out, and the heater system now smells nicer.

Amazing what a car can go through when you are the 4th owner.
