I don't mind pulling the plug to do an oil change and still do occasionally, except on ML's. MB cautions about the oil running over various rubber components and softening the rubber.
I am not familiar with the product in question. If you intend on draining oil out of the drain plug, then fabricate something (cut up a plastic funnel or something) to make the oil run directly into the drain pan.
