Since this has been my only diesel car, I really have no idea what it should sound like. It sat for 12 hours. The car was started completely cold.
I've owned the car almost 2 years now. Never had a compression test done on it or a valve adjustment. Does it sound like it needs one?
I recently changed my engine and trans mounts and adjusted my rack damper. It's pretty smooth compared to how it was before. |
Two years and no valve adjustment? It doesn't sound bad, but it wouldn't hurt to add that to the to-do list, when you're comfortable with it and have assembled the wrenches, etc.
How are the air cleaner mounts? It almost looks like it's moving up and down. The engine looks like it's running smoothly, no side-to-side rocking.
