This seems like a bad idea to me. I believe it would hold the pad up well. However I think if you ever have to replace the pad again you'd be in for some hard work. I dont think it will be easy to remove the old glue.
I mean I suppose you'd just hit it with an angle grinder + wire wheel, not much stands up to that.
I've just used 8090 on all 4 of my MB's no issues at all. No disintegration, on garage queen or all season daily driver that never sees the garage.
