What a drag! Your E is beginning to sound like my former TE. Sometimes the problems are relentless and endless. I suggest that you take a hard look at the car and see what it would take to get it in good shape. Assess the cost for this and see where the pile of cash can lead you. Fixing might be least expensive way to end up with a good E class, but so might selling and finding another. While I really enjoy the ride of a 124, there are better things to do than endlessly fix cars. With that in mind, I begun my hunt for a good 400E. It took a couple of months but a year into ownership, I have to say it was worth it...
