Some of the hudson pickups had basically the cars interior with a bed behind it. Classy more than utilitarian as many trucks where in my opinion.
Pre cursor to vehicles like the ford rachero and others. Hudson was a notch quality wise above much of the competition. I think there somewhat unorthodox styling eventually caught up with them.
They ran oil bath clutches and high nickle content blocks. My father had a forty six or seven I remember well just after the second world war. In the early fifties they dominated stock car racing for awhile.
