Pre cursor to vehicles like the ford rachero and others. Hudson was a notch quality wise above much of the competition. I think there somewhat unorthodox styling eventually caught up with them.
They ran oil bath clutches and high nickle content blocks. My father had a forty six or seven I remember well just after the second world war. In the early fifties they dominated stock car racing for awhile.

1937 Utility coupe. Pickup box rolled out the back , though this one is either a clone or has the wrong rear left fender. You can tell because the gas filler was in the fender not the body on a commerial car.
