I used AeroShell 4 fluid, which my manual lists as an option. This is an aircraft hydraulic fluid, and it's a mineral oil fluid which will not damage the seals. I think a gallon jug was $30 at National Aviation Supply. Try local FBOs, shipping liquids is expensive.
