Same story here in Harford County, Maryland (NE of Baltimore City). Both at the HS, and CC level, auto shops have been discontinued. I cannot comment on the male/female leadership as a cause, but it seems plausible. Besides, the entire culture is more feminized than a few generations ago, and that is probably a natural thing.
