Amen to that. The rate at which we imprison black males would embarrass Stalin. It is fricking insane.

While I agree with you on that point, describing police as "usually" dishonest doesn't help. Police dishonesty is an issue that has always been there and always will be, but it doesn't explain why we have such a punitive, ineffective, and expensive system of criminal justice.
