I did a search, but didnt find anything. I know this is a common problem, so thinking that most likely there is a DIY somewhere on how to replace the vacuum solenoid,.....or whatever else might be involved

BTW, the car holds door lock vacuum indifinitely, so, at least that circuit is air tight.
