New here, new to Mercedes. Did a bunch of research before purchasing one and ended up with a 95' E300d with about 108k miles. So far been running pretty good. Was told when i bough it that the glow plugs and clear fuel lines had been replace just before purchase (with receipts). Go to start the car up this morning and it just sputters and dies!!! starts right up but with in 5-10 seconds it idles rough and just dies.... To add it puts out some white smoke, smells like unburnt fuel. The only thing that i have noticed (before today) driving it up until this point is randomly, it will stumble on acceleration from a stop, pick back up and be just fine. this has only happened a few times in the last month. I changed the fuel filter just to be sure, but i am not totally sure where to start on this vehicle.

Is this a bad lift pump (fuel pump)? is this a bad injector or two?


PLEASE HELP!!!!

p.s. it is running on diesel and i believe that is all that it has ever ran on...
