Unfortunately my version of the scan gauge can't convert the readings to actual volts (gives me a hex reading), so I guess I'll take it back to the mechanic. Hopefully he can run the test.

I was tempted to buy a new gauge (only $70), maybe I should...by the way, is a 1 second refresh rate quick enough to see the reading you talked about?
