Hey Larry,
We have had it going on for decades.
When we have the left win an election, they start spending like a drunk sailor.
After a while people start seeing what they are doing & vote them out. Then the right side spend the next couple of terms trying to fix the mess. & then the cycle starts all over again.
Its important to be careful when looking at Australian politics as the right side is named the Liberal Party & the left are Labor. It fools any one from your side of the pond if not for warned.
& yes Australia currently has a "Hillery C." clone as a leader. Only difference is ours is a barren red headed clown.
