I spent the rest of the day enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of Manhattan (no tourist stuff), from Harlem to the Lower East Side, and several places in between. I spent a little money here and there, always at the small neighborhood stores. It was a very enjoyable day, and I'll probably go back in a few weeks to explore some different places. I applaud Mayor Bloomberg for making NYC a safer place. As far as I'm concerned, the Mayor's pros outweigh the cons by a ton.
You applaud Bloomberg for making NYC "a safer place".

However, if you look at the place when he took office 10 years ago, you'll find that it was basically in the same condition that it is today. It was Rudy Guiliani who did all the legwork to get it from the state of affairs of Dinkins to what Bloomberg inherited.

See if you can cite any accomplishments made specifically by Bloomberg with regard to health and safety.............???
