Remove the vacuum pump and unbolt the fastener that goes through the center of the ip timing device. IIRC it is a reverse threaded fastener. You will want the engine set at a certain timing prior to removing pump. I don't remember where to set it but it should be outlined in the service manual at startekinfo.
