That was fun
A bunch of Land Rover guys were good enough to let me join them in some off-roading this weekend. They were quite surprised when I showed up as I didn't tell them what I was bringing
I let them know that this was my very first off-road trip so I was a complete newbie aside from all the reading that i've done. They were shocked at how good I did....
I showed up to their campsite yesterday morning and immediately became quite nervous when I saw how aggressive the tires were on all the Land Rovers as well as all the equipment some of them had (I only had the basic "all season" Michelins that came with the truck)
Now I knew the Gwagen was good off road from everything I have read over the years and from people i've talked to, Land Rover owners amongst them. However to actually get out there and prove it ...that was something else. The blue 110 was driven by a professional and couldn't get up the sloop pictured and had to be pulled up. (I made it on the first shot without trouble!) My already great respect for the G-Class has just increased 2 fold
(Stay tuned for videos later this week)
