I was considering buying a different scanner so I could run the latest test, but, I just sold the car, so I guess we don't have to pursue it anymore. I want to thank everyone for the help; I would have liked to solved it before handing it over, but....oh-well.

On the brighter side, I just picked up a 2008 ML350, so in the words of the terminator..."I'll be back".
