Same here. My PC ran much much better in Win7 with 8 gigs of RAM rather than XP with 4 (3 usable). What a shocker!
Win7 is a decent OS, and frankly I had more issues running XP than I ever did with Win7 in regard to crashes and reboots since my hardware setup (specifically some drivers with the mobo) clashed with SP2. I've been on Win7 for 2-3 years now on multiple machines with absolutely no issues. I've now got 32gb RAM in a brand new machine, and I can't imagine running XP on anything except my netbook.
