I drove another 1997 E300 that I am considering. Engine felt smooth and happy to rev. Even at 60 mph, it was ready to get up and go - I can see the appeal of the OM606 now.

Question - at 70 mph tach showed 3400 rpm. I would have thought with the 5 speed auto, it would be lower than this. Does that sound right?
