My son is working with another fellow to write a river guide for a stretch of the Salmon River in Idaho between Stanley and North Fork. Today they ran the upper portion which includes some kick-ass class 4 water. In the pic below he's on the right side of the bow of the raft, just dropping into the Sunbeam Dam rapid.
Here's an unrelated video of that particular rapid filmed some years ago. A pretty straightforward run, but a hairy drop none the less. The actual drop is in the second half of the video.
