I would want them to put it on a lift and show me the repair areas. If it looked like it was done well, and I was buying the car to drive for myself, I would be okay DEPENDING on the laws in your state. In some states there are some real roadblocks for salvage title cars.

Consult your insurance man first and if you don't need to finance it, this might make a thrifty way to come up with a good driver.
