New member long time lurker, I've been driving my 1986 300E with it's 5-speed manual transmission for a little more than 6 years and +90K and I love everything about it! The only thing I would offer is that I did rebuild the shifter and that really tightened it up, it had a "mushy" sort of feel. Great driving cars, shame they don't make anything comparable today.
