I have two 240D Euro parts cars with US aftermarket a/c systems. Both of them have Sandens mounted in the lower left. The bracket is quite simple. A few years ago I googled around and found several aftermarket brackets for mounting the sanden on these engines.

At one point I was considering putting together a kit like this and did a poll on this site, but no one seemed to be willing to pay enough for it, to make it a worthwhile venture.

Mounting the compressor and an idler will be the biggest challenge and that really won't be too bad for someone with welding and fabrication skills. Fabricating the hoses will be straightforward auto a/c shop work.
