Hard to say. The Book of Rev. does seem a bit hyperbolic, it's not my favorite book. Perhaps you mean the whole bible. I dunno, it's the history of a people, it has some value.
Interesting to me is the way the vision of Black Elk, an Oglala Sioux holy man, as told in the book Black Elk Speaks, is similar to the Book of Rev. Maybe fever dreams take similar routes in diverse peoples not sure. But then again, life is full of mysteries.
