Benzmacs gonna hate me again...but:

I took the easy way out of this one. See the bridge that goes across the plate? I screwed a big wide self tapping screw into that so the plate rests against the screw

Careful to glue the screw in when positioned.... dont want it in the intake!!

Worked for me.
