Not sure what at what point I'd buy a w211 wagon, but I would not think of the % part- just the amount I would have to pay. Would not really think of the payment you would make so that I could afford something I would not buy in the first place however. If would not buy it in the first place your subsidy would have to be 100%, AND I'd have to have a place for it in my home. Now if I could buy it and resell it immediately for above what I paid I think everyone would eventually start to consider doing that, many would not consider at all- they'd just start.
I'd consider who "you" were- meaning if "you" were a neighbor up the street who did not have much money then no matter what the price I'd refuse. If "you" were my father who could not afford this, I'd refuse. If "you" were the government I'd think of why this was happening and also consider refusing depending on circumstances. If "you" were a lotto winner who had money to blow I'd consider alot less and buy more. Money is not free- and as part of the equation I'd have to know who is paying eventually.
