My tenth and twentieth were more about showing up in a fancy car, dressed to the nines. I just didn't participate in that crap. My wife and I showed up in casual clothes and started visiting. For me, showing off my wife was a good enough "I've been more successful than you" statement anyway.
Just go, lighten up and when they start telling you how successful they are, just don't acknowledge it and ask if they remember the time when...., even if you've been more successful than them.
Don't cheat yourself out of the chance to see your old classmates.

The competition stuff doesn't phase me, my family and our business has been a fixture here for 120+ years (famously or infamously?
) and I don't feel the need to try to impress anyone (I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam), it was just a statement based on the feedback I always hear. I might do the 25th. I've remained in touch with any of the classmates I wanted to but I suppose it might be fun to see where some of the others ended up.
