Remember, I'm leaving my hex screws in. Mine would not come out either, but the multi star ring holds the whole thing in place.

The little three finger plastic piece is getting replace, and on the list of items getting replaced because these plastic have a bone-color when new, so these are all saturated with oil, and maybe could break.
