YES!!! I did that exact same thing this summer on my 190 2.3-16V but i made it classy i took out the stock deck making sure not to butcher anything and build a new one out of wood and carpeted it i then dropped and 8inch Free Air made by Cadence its a excellent woofer then ran an apline mono amp that i fit under the back seat it sounds amazing
