Didn't know about the EC light for '96 and later. You are a man after my heart: there's nothing that a little ingenuity (and some glue) can't fix! Good stuff.

On the bottom of my main page, there's info for networks that specialize in getting Mercedes parts: used, OEM, second source. It has worked for me in the past.
