Thanks guys for motivation,
I am kind of laughing stock among peers for buying such an old car.

But I feel cool about it.
I am not sure if it is the right approach but I have set up appointment with mechanic to look/do some stuff this weekend. I have only 1 car in household and use it to daily commute to work so a bit scared to open things on my own because of the fear that I will ruin something. I am also kind of feel anxious that by the time I learn, I may spoil the car. AM I being paranoid?
I have found 1-2 mechanics here who work till 12.30 on Saturday.
I see tutorials/videos but don't even have proper place to work here. My parking has a bit of slope and I stay in a apt.
Do you guys keep stuff like vacuum pump, millimeters etc at home? I have external battery , tire presure gauge and mr fix it with me.
I am going to get the estimate and let you guys know, how much does it cost and hopefully you can guide me better.
Thanks for motivating.
I did keep air filter but didn't keep the oil filter as it was oily.

just for my records. I bought stuff on my own and paid around $15 for oil and air filter change.
I have seen rust here and there, is there any suitable method to remove it and safeguard against it? I have can of WD 40 for rust protection which I bought long time ago for my bike?
Thanks again,
With Regards,
Dracs
