I was simply stating what appears obvious to me, you would never witness anyone asking what is the front or the rear of this car so why would the left or the right side be any different? If you are quoting a repair manual for the car it would seem obvious that left or right hand side would ascertain to the vehicle not the man working on it, just the same as a rear light stays a rear light whether the the car is facing the sunny side of the kitchen window or not.
