Buy an old used unit from the '60's or '70's with a real motor and a belt-driven pump. I have a 1967 John Wood 30 gallon vertical with a real Westinghouse pump and a 1 HP motor. It ran 20-40 hours per week for almost 10 years when my father had a commercial photo processing lab. on LI. Naturally, there's still plenty of life left in it. It is also relatively quiet.
