Not a valid comment.
Someone did hold your hand and see to it that you had a way to vote. That's because the folks that set up the rules for voting saw to it that you had a way to do so.
Until Texas allowed for early voting for ANY reason it was impossible to vote unless you had a valid legal reason to vote early. The fact that you had to work that day was not a valid reason.
Then Texas allowed early voting and you did not have to swear out a statement about why you could not show up on election day. That solved not only our problem but the problem of anyone who had to work all day on election day.
But now the Republicans, in their zeal to stomp out voters rights, are doing all they can to take us back to the good old days when it was a Felony to vote early without a valid reason.
So this whole voter suppression thing.... Are you good with that?
