I been focusing on trouble shooting one thing at the time. Today I just wanted to make sure the engine was getting fuel, so I cranked the car a couple of times and nothing happen no start. I then turn the key all the way where all the light came on and the went under the car by the side of where the fuel pump is located and I could not hear the pump there was no hum or sound at all which is making me believe it maybe the the fuel pump. I did do something I did not wanted to do and that was I got some starting fuel sprayed two puff in the main manifold I then crank it and the car started but within seconds it die again, which is making me believe that the car has spark but that no fuel is getting to engine. I do not think is the fuel pressure regulator because i changed it about a year a go, next I will check the crank sensor to see if that maybe an issue.

Of course all this happening while I am trying to get may second mercedes E 320 running I finally changed the fuel level sender in the gas tank (I posted some pictures on this site/ forum, and the oil level sensor in the oil pan, both and easy fix of which I also posting some pictures of the procedure.

I am also considering purchasing a hand held scanner to see if I can get some code readings or ideas, unfurtunately the car is not displaing any "check engine" light

Any other ideas I will appreciated, I am hoping to be able to get the car started and avoid an expensive towing to the shop

Oscar
