The Ohio change in voting hours targets one very specific group: Black voters.
During the last Presidential election black church's sermons were focused on the importance of voting. Not who but why. And after church there was a great surge of Black voters hitting the polls.
So, how do you keep this little thing from taking place again? Shut down Sunday voting, of course.
But if the county usually goes Republican then by all means keep the polls open for as many hours as possible.
It did not take long for the Justice Department to see through this scam, so they started asking questions. Sensing a sure trip to the jailhouse for voter meddling the state of Ohio just decided to restrict voting for everyone.
OK, so it might hurt some Republicans, but if it keeps the 'wrong' kind of voter away from the polls then Ohio is all for it.
