On a 2007 CLK550:

Left rear window makes a notable clicking noise when going down, but not when going up

Left front window makes a quiet thumping noise when going down and going up

The actual movement of the windows appears to be unaffected. Constant speed up and down etc.

Checked the CPO warranty provisions. Says "window lifter motor" is covered. Nothing about the regulator.
