The bent wrenches really do help as it is a bear to get in and around the injector lines with straight wrenches.
I made mine by choosing some fairly low quality wrenches and then applying a plumbers torch for a few minutes and using the vise and strong arm method of bending (highly technical). Be careful to not bend them exactly the same and to not leave too little straight wrench to apply torque when tightening or loosening a nut.
Also check where you measure the gap. It is not on top of the acorn nut as the old BMWs that used to run but is in between the rocker and the cam lobe.
I had to redo mine after the first adjustment due to this oversight.
It's a lot easier to do it the right way...
