You will never win against morons like this. Your son did exactly the same as I did , except I got my ass kicked a few times but I never stopped getting up off the ground to face them when forced into a corner (usually 3 on 1).

Tell him when he comes back for his High School reunion, he will find out that they never left home and made anything of themselves or ended up in jail for spousal abuse, etc...

Sounds like you taught him well. Just watch the Father, he is the real problem.
